Lucy Davis, known for her role in the original U.K. version of “The Office,” has announced she is battling terminal cancer.
The actress revealed on Instagram that she was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer a year and a half ago after discovering a lump. According to Davis, the cancer had metastasized, meaning it spread to other parts of her body. She stated that it’s “too late for chemo” at this stage.
Davis expressed a sense of acceptance regarding her prognosis, sharing, “I’m not scared of whatever comes next.” While detailing her health journey on social media, she did not disclose specific details about the cancer's spread beyond stating it had metastasized. She has been open about her struggles with mental health in the past and appears to be approaching this new challenge with similar honesty.
Davis is best known for playing Dawn Tinsley, the receptionist, in the original British version of “The Office,” which aired from 2001-2003. She has also appeared in films such as ‘Wonder Woman’ and television shows like ‘Salem.’
