The creators of the Adult Swim animated series ‘Smiling Friends’ have suggested the show may not be definitively cancelled, despite previous indications.
The Emmy-nominated Adult Swim series ‘Smiling Friends’ might not be over for good, according to its creators. Gizmodo reports that while the show’s future remains uncertain, there’s a “tiny chance” it could continue.
Previously, many fans believed the show was cancelled after a series of posts from series co-creator Michael Cusack suggested the show was ending. However, in a recent interview, Cusack and co-creator Zach Hadel hinted at a possible continuation.
“I think there’s a tiny chance we could do more,” Hadel said. Cusack added, “Yeah, I think so too.” The creators did not elaborate on the specifics of what a continuation might look like, or what factors would contribute to a potential renewal. The show follows the adventures of a company dedicated to bringing happiness to people, despite the often bizarre and unsettling circumstances they encounter.
