Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce made NFL history on Monday night, moving past Jason Witten to become second all-time in receiving yards for tight ends. The milestone occurred during the Chiefs’ game against the Denver Broncos, with Taylor Swift and Kelce’s family in attendance.

Kelce entered the 2026 season needing just 45 receiving yards to surpass Witten’s career total of 13,046 yards. He achieved this during the third quarter with his second reception of the quarter, bringing his career total to 13,067 receiving yards. Kelce had accumulated 13,002 receiving yards through the end of the 2025 season.

The 36-year-old Kelce remains a key part of the Kansas City Chiefs’ offense, led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes. He finished the 2025 season with 76 receptions for 851 yards and five touchdowns, and is the Chiefs’ all-time leader in both receptions and receiving yards.

While Kelce has now surpassed Witten, Tony Gonzalez remains the all-time leader with 15,127 receiving yards, leaving Kelce approximately 2,060 yards behind. Kelce is in his 14th NFL season.
