Borussia Mönchengladbach have fired coach Eugen Polanski, according to broadcaster Sky. The club communicated the decision to Polanski on Sunday morning following talks on Saturday evening, with an official statement expected later in the day.
Gladbach currently sit at the bottom of the Bundesliga table with zero points from three games. They suffered a 5-0 defeat to Freiburg on Saturday. Their only win this season came against TSV Schott Mainz, a fifth-division side, in the first round of the German Cup.
Polanski took over the position in 2025, replacing Gerardo Seoane. Last season, he led the team to a 12th-place finish in the Bundesliga.
