NASA announced that President Donald J. Trump will award the Congressional Space Medal of Honor to the four members of the Artemis II crew on Friday, August 28th. The ceremony will take place at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston.
The Congressional Space Medal of Honor will be presented to NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, and Christina Koch, as well as Canadian Space Agency (CSA) astronaut Jeremy Hansen. The award recognizes their dedication and anticipated contributions to the Artemis II mission, which aims to send humans around the Moon.
The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. EDT. NASA stated that President Donald J. Trump will be the one bestowing the honor upon the crew members.
