Apple increased prices on several of its older iPhone models following the announcement of the iPhone Duo and iPhone 18 Pro. The price hikes affect the iPhone 16, the entire iPhone 17 lineup, and the iPhone Air.
The iPhone 16, which sold for $699 last week, now costs $799. The iPhone 17E with 256GB of storage has increased from $599 to $699. The standard iPhone 17 now starts at $899, up from $799, with 256GB of storage. The iPhone Air’s price has also risen, now selling for $1,099 instead of $999.
The base iPhone 18 was not featured during Apple’s September event; the company focused on its higher-end models, which start at $1,199. As of now, purchasing an affordable iPhone will cost consumers more than it did previously.
