“The Traitors” has significantly outperformed “Survivor” in Emmy Award wins, despite the latter’s longer run. Since its debut on Peacock, “The Traitors” has earned eight Emmys, while “Survivor” has won fewer awards over its 25-year history.
“The Traitors,” hosted by Alan Cumming and set in a Scottish castle, has accumulated eight Emmys in three years. This includes wins in casting, and back-to-back reality competition trophies in 2024 and 2025, as well as two hosting awards.
The disparity in Emmy wins highlights a shift in recognition within the reality competition genre. While “Survivor” is considered a long-standing “juggernaut” in the field, “The Traitors” has quickly gained favor with Emmy voters.
