The Food and Drug Administration has deployed inspectors to Taylor Farms de Mexico nearly a month after identifying the company's central Mexico iceberg lettuce as the source of the largest cyclospora outbreak in U.S. history, which has sickened 9,481 people.
A senior FDA official confirmed that inspectors were on-site at the processing facility. The agency's investigation now moves from the facility to the fields, where inspectors plan to be next.
