An Antrim Senior Hurling Championship final between St John's and Loughgiel Shamrocks descended into violence both on and off the pitch. Loughgiel Shamrocks won the match 0-30 to 3-14. Fighting broke out between players, backroom staff, and supporters following the final whistle. Antrim GAA has yet to comment, but sanctions are expected for both teams.
In Down, Kilcoo defeated Loughinisland by 22 points, securing their place in the semi-finals of the Down Senior Football Championship. Sean Og McCusker, Chrissy Rooney, Jack Devlin, Miceal Rooney, Barra McEvoy, and Ruairi Madine all scored for Kilcoo, who are aiming for their eighth consecutive Down SFC title and 14th in 15 years. Burren and Carryduff also advanced to the semi-finals, with Clonduff and Mayobridge set to play to complete the field.
David Clifford spearheaded Fossa to their first Kerry Intermediate Football Championship title, defeating Kilcummin. Fossa had previously lost the Intermediate decider in 2023 and 2025. Clifford scored 0-15, including three two-point scores, two two-point frees, and two frees, while his brother Paudie Clifford added four points. The final score was a four-point win for Fossa, a club formed in 1970.
