Westlake High School defeated Euless Trinity High School 7-0 in their Week 2 football game on Friday. The Chaps opened the scoring after forcing a three-and-out by Trinity.
Westlake marched 54 yards in 11 plays, culminating in a 19-yard touchdown pass from Patton Jones to Nash Chapman. Prior to the touchdown, Westlake had forced another three-and-out, taking over on their own 45-yard line.
Both Westlake (1-0) and Euless Trinity (1-0) entered the game with Week 1 victories; Westlake defeated Inglewood, California 33-26, while Trinity beat Richardson Berkner 28-17. Both teams are Class 6A and are predicted to finish in the top two of their respective districts.
