New York Giants running back Tyrone Tracy left Friday night’s preseason game against the New York Jets with an injury. Tracy had been having a strong performance before exiting the game.
Tracy, the Giants’ leading rusher the past two seasons, had four carries for 37 yards, averaging 9.3 yards per carry. He scored a 6-yard touchdown and had a 16-yard run. His night ended after sustaining an injury during a play.
This injury comes after a rough preseason for Tracy. He missed a block in the first preseason game against the Minnesota Vikings, which resulted in quarterback Jaxson Dart being hit hard. In Week 2 against the Miami Dolphins, Tracy fumbled in the red zone despite not being touched. Running backs Cam Skattebo and Devin Singletary did not play in Friday’s game, while Tracy and Najee Harris did.
Further information regarding the nature and severity of Tracy’s injury will be reported as it becomes available.
