Philadelphia 76ers star Jaylen Brown’s surfing footage recently surfaced online after USA swimmers Patrick Sammon and Michael Andrew discovered his lost GoPro.
Sammon and Andrew recounted finding the camera and recognizing the basketball player in the footage. “As soon we turned it on, we're like, 'Oh, this guy looks super familiar,'” Sammon said. Andrew added, “And for sure an athlete. Like, this guy's huge.” Sammon continued, “Like this guy is almost 7-feet tall and there's, like, a mic boom over his head so we can see he has a full on camera crew…”
The swimmers then posted a clip from the GoPro online, asking for help identifying the surfer. “We just took that clip, the one that's going viral around, asking the internet and see if they could help us find Jaylen Brown,” Sammon explained. “We didn't know Jaylen Brown at the time, but, like, basically within the first two minutes, like, 'Bro, you don't know this is Jaylen Brown?'”
Brown will play for the Philadelphia 76ers as they attempt to challenge the New York Knicks in the 2026-27 season.
