The Los Angeles Dodgers announced that their star player, Shohei Ohtani, will not participate in next week's All-Star Game held in Philadelphia because of continued irritation in his left knee. The team also stated that Ohtani would not be making his scheduled start on the mound against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Friday night.
Despite the knee issue, Ohtani will continue to fulfill his role as the Dodgers’ designated hitter throughout the weekend series against the Diamondbacks. Following the conclusion of the series on Sunday, the team plans to implement “interventions” on his knee with the goal of preparing him for future games.
