CF Montreal announced Tuesday the signing of Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez through at least the 2027 season. The veteran player previously starred for European clubs including Barcelona and Arsenal.
The Major League Soccer (MLS) club has an option to extend the contract through the 2027-28 season. CF Montreal senior director Luca Saputo expressed hope that Sanchez’s arrival will spark a turnaround for the team. “We hope this deal will begin a turnaround for the Canadian club,” Saputo stated.
