Former Florida State, Boston College and UCF quarterback Thomas Castellanos announced Wednesday he is transferring to Texas Tech. He will use his fifth year of eligibility with the Red Raiders.
Castellanos, who has previously played for three different college football programs, committed to Texas Tech, telling ESPN's Pete Thamel the news on Wednesday. The quarterback began his career at Florida State before transferring to Boston College and then UCF. The move gives Texas Tech a veteran presence at the quarterback position as they prepare for the upcoming season. Castellanos will be eligible to play immediately as a fifth-year transfer.
