The New England Patriots have revealed themed games for their 2026 home schedule, including celebrations honoring team legends and specific uniform choices. The Patriots will begin their 2026 regular season on the road against the Seattle Seahawks next Wednesday, before hosting the Pittsburgh Steelers on September 20.
The September 20th home opener against the Steelers will be the first of eight themed contests at Gillette Stadium this year. Some themes align with league-wide NFL campaigns, while others are unique to the Patriots. Week 5 will feature a celebration of Pro Football Hall of Famer Adam Vinatieri versus the Raiders, and Week 9 will honor Patriots Hall of Famer Rob Gronkowski against the Packers. Both events will also commemorate Super Bowl-winning teams from the franchise’s history.
The Patriots will wear their red-and-white Pat Patriot throwback alternate uniforms in Week 2 against the Steelers, and again in Week 14 during a Thursday night game against the Vikings. The team’s Nor’Easter-themed alternate look, introduced last year, will be worn four days before the Vikings game in a contest against the Bills. This Bills game is designated as the team’s 2026 Rivalry game.
