iHeartMedia’s Ruby studio and Lincoln are launching a new podcast series, “Before the Moment with Nile Rodgers,” featuring conversations with artists about pivotal career moments. The first six episodes, premiering September 15, will include interviews with Sienna Spiro, John Legend, Alex Warren, Miguel, and the Goo Goo Dolls, with more guests planned.
The podcast will see legendary songwriter-producer-musician Nile Rodgers discuss defining turning points in artists’ lives and careers, exploring the circumstances and choices that led to their success. Rodgers, a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Chairman and inductee of the Songwriters Hall of Fame, and multiple Grammy Award winner, has collaborated with artists including Diana Ross, Madonna, David Bowie, Duran Duran, Daft Punk, Coldplay and Beyoncé.
According to Rodgers, “There are thousands of great artists trying to find their way into the music business. This show proves that there are millions of ways to do it.” Will Pearson, President of iHeartPodcasts, stated that the series pairs Rodgers’ “incredible perspective and connection to artists with the kind of intimate, compelling storytelling we strive to create with Ruby Studios.”
