Liverpool legend Mohamed Salah has opted to join Turkish side Trabzonspor, rejecting offers from Saudi Arabian clubs and Major League Soccer (MLS) teams. The decision appears motivated by a desire to continue competing at the highest level and pursue further silverware.
The BBC reports that Salah’s move to Trabzonspor comes after significant interest from Saudi Arabia, where several high-profile players have recently transferred. However, despite lucrative offers, Salah chose Turkey. He also turned down opportunities in MLS.
According to the report, a key factor in Salah's decision was his ambition to remain competitive and challenge for trophies. “He wants to play at the highest level and win things,” a source close to the player told the BBC. Trabzonspor, while not currently enjoying the same dominance as some of Europe’s elite clubs, offers a platform for Salah to be a central figure in a team with aspirations of success.
