Joey Logano will start on the pole for the Enjoy Illinois 300 NASCAR Cup Series race at World Wide Technology Raceway on September 13. He qualified with a lap of 32.817 seconds, besting Kyle Larson by two-tenths of a second. The race is scheduled to begin around 2:10 p.m. CT and will be broadcast nationally on USA Network.
Logano, driving the No. 22 Team Penske Ford, has a strong record at Gateway, with four top-five finishes in four Cup races, including one victory. Several drivers competing for the championship are starting further back in the field, including Chris Buescher (21st) and William Byron (24th).
The full starting lineup includes Kyle Larson in second, followed by Ryan Blaney, Christopher Bell, and Chase Briscoe. Other notable starters are Bubba Wallace, Chase Elliott, Denny Hamlin, and Alex Bowman. Connor Zilisch will start in 88th position.
The 240-lap, 300-mile race will be divided into three stages: 45 laps, 95 laps, and 100 laps. In addition to USA Network coverage, the race can be streamed on HBO MAX for in-car camera views, and audio will be available on NASCAR.com and SiriusXM Channel 90.
