According to Fox News Politics, the judge blocked the Justice Department from "taking any further action pursuant to the creation or operation" of a $1.778 billion "Anti-Weaponization Fund." CNBC reported the fund as a $1.8 billion Anti-Weaponization Fund.
The DOJ has faced criticism for the creation of the fund, CNBC reported. The fund could compensate allies of President Donald Trump, according to the same outlet.
The temporary block remains in effect as a lawsuit proceeds regarding the fund.
