John Carroll High School’s football team defeated Glades Central High School on Thursday, August 27, 2026, improving to a 2-0 record in the 2026 FHSAA season. Glades Central fell to 0-2 with the loss.
The Rams built a two-possession lead late in the first half, but Glades Central responded with scores before and after halftime, narrowing the gap. John Carroll answered with a drive sparked by senior running back Felix Jackson, who scored a rushing touchdown to extend their lead.
Jackson later made a significant play, completing a long touchdown pass to junior Donevon Richardson on a reverse. The Rams’ defense then took control, recording multiple sacks in the fourth quarter and securing an interception by junior Kameron Barber to close out the game.
John Carroll will next face defending Class 1A state champion Cardinal Newman on September 4 in Fort Pierce. Glades Central will seek its first win of the season when it visits Palm Beach Gardens on the same day.
