The GNU Compiler Collection (GCC) has merged initial support for the AI Compute Extensions (ACEv1). This work originates from the x86 Ecosystem Advisory Group, a collaboration between Intel and AMD.
ACEv1 is a common matrix acceleration architecture designed to improve performance for artificial intelligence and machine learning workloads on future CPUs. The integration into GCC 17 represents the first step in enabling these optimizations within the compiler.
