Filmotor has secured world sales rights for “Letters From the Silenced Country,” a documentary by Belarusian writer-director Andrei Kutsila. The film will have its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival.
The partly animated documentary is set to screen in the Venice Open – Out of Competition section. It presents a portrait of contemporary Belarus through the stories of individuals who have experienced oppression.
Filmotor’s acquisition aims to bring wider international attention to the situation in Belarus, as depicted by Kutsila. The film offers a unique perspective on the country and its people.
