Chilean filmmaker Patricio Valladares will direct a fantasy-horror adaptation of Dante Alighieri’s “Inferno.” The film, titled “The Divine Comedy,” is a reimagining of the classic poem and is slated to begin filming in Rome in September.
Valladares is known for his work on the 2023 found-footage horror film “Invoking Yell.” The new project will be produced by Italian film company Anxur Films, in collaboration with Ireland’s Skincrawl Studios. Skincrawl Studios will also handle international sales for the film.
Details beyond the production companies and filming location are currently limited.
