Bournemouth’s Vitality Stadium is prepared to host its upcoming Premier League fixture against Everton on Saturday, August 29th, despite ongoing redevelopment work. Club officials state they can pause construction at any time to ensure the stadium is match-ready.
The Cherries are currently undertaking a multi-phase project to increase the capacity of Vitality Stadium, the Premier League’s smallest venue, to over 20,000 seats. The project is slated for completion by summer 2027. However, the immediate focus remains on ensuring the stadium is prepared for Saturday’s home game.
Jim Frevola, president of business operations for Bournemouth, emphasized the club’s preparedness. “It will absolutely be ready,” Frevola told BBC Radio Solent. He further stated that the redevelopment can be halted “at any minute” and the stadium can be ready to host a match “the next day.” This demonstrates the club’s commitment to prioritizing matchday readiness alongside the long-term stadium improvements.
