Bendita Film Sales has secured international rights to the upcoming film “The Fortunate Isles” (“Las islas afortunadas”), a period drama set in the 15th century. The acquisition occurred ahead of the film's world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.
The film, directed by Helena Girón and Samuel Delgado, will be showcased in Toronto’s Discovery section. “The Fortunate Isles” represents the second feature-length project for the directing duo, following their debut film “They Carry Death” (“Eles transportan a morte”). Bendita Film Sales will be responsible for handling international sales and distribution of the movie, aiming to bring it to a wider audience beyond its initial premiere in Toronto. The reason for acquiring the film is to promote and distribute their work internationally.
