The producers of the ‘Baywatch’ revival series honored 16-year-old lifeguard Ryder Williams with a set visit before wrapping filming on the first season. Williams recently gained recognition for rescuing a 10-year-old boy from dangerous conditions at a Santa Cruz beach.
The ‘Baywatch’ producers invited Williams and his parents to the set this week, according to Variety. The invitation came after Williams made headlines for his heroic actions in Santa Cruz, where he successfully saved a 10-year-old boy amidst challenging ocean conditions – waves reaching 8-to-10 feet high combined with dangerous rip currents.
The series is currently filming its revival season. Producers chose to recognize Williams’ bravery and quick thinking by providing him with an exclusive behind-the-scenes experience before completing principal photography on the first season.
