MetFilm Sales has secured worldwide sales rights to Luke Lorentzen’s documentary, “Boatbuilders,” which will premiere at the Venice International Film Festival. The film offers a portrait of a Maine boatbuilding community and will be presented to buyers at the Toronto International Film Festival Market.
MetFilm Sales acquired the rights to “Boatbuilders” ahead of its world premiere in the Open Section of the 83rd Venice Intl. Film Festival on September 7. The documentary, directed by Luke Lorentzen, focuses on the lives and work of individuals within a Maine boatbuilding community.
The film will be showcased to potential buyers at the upcoming Toronto International Film Festival Market, following its Venice debut. The acquisition by MetFilm Sales aims to distribute “Boatbuilders” internationally, bringing Lorentzen’s work to a wider audience.
