Former Salt Lake City Real Housewives star Jen Shah has completed her federal sentence tied to a nationwide telemarketing fraud scheme. She was released to home confinement in December and officially finished her sentence on Friday.

Shah pled guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud in July 2022 and was initially sentenced to six-and-a-half years in prison in early 2023. Her sentence was later shortened, leading to her release on December 10th. The indictment in March 2021 alleged she carried out a telemarketing scheme defrauding hundreds of victims, many over the age of 55.

“Today marks the official completion of my sentence and the closing of a chapter that changed my life and my family forever,” Shah said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. “I made decisions that had serious consequences, and I accept those consequences. I’ve had years to look honestly at my own choices — the people I trusted and allowed into my life, the red flags I ignored, the questions I should have asked, and the moments when I should have stopped and listened to my instincts. I can see those things today in a way I couldn’t then, and I take responsibility for the decisions that were mine.”

Shah stated she is focused on the future, adding, “Moving forward doesn’t mean forgetting that real people were hurt or treating the consequences of this chapter lightly. I carry that awareness with me, and I always will.” She expressed excitement about regaining “my voice back and the freedom to decide what that next chapter looks like,” and plans to pursue work and creative projects. She and her husband, Sharrieff “Coach” Shah, celebrated her release this week.
