Iranian Oscar Nominee Jafar Panahi Excluded from Karlovy Vary Festival

Karel Och, the artistic director of the Czech film festival, stated, 'Given his crucial involvement, we wanted him to come.'

Despite these plans, Panahi was ultimately excluded from the festival due to a travel ban. The festival organizers did not elaborate further on the reasons behind the ban, but the decision highlights the ongoing challenges faced by international artists under such restrictions.
