The BBC broadcast the documentary just over a year after a series of sexual misconduct accusations against Jared Leto were published in AirMail. Director Alice McShane (“Russell Brand: In Plain Sight”) collaborated with Elena Clavarino, the reporter who authored the AirMail story, and BBC producer Jessica Sartenaer to create the film.
The documentary team aims to present the allegations and investigate what they describe as the “mystery” of why Leto hasn’t been held accountable. The project appears to be an extension of the initial reporting, bringing the accusations to a wider audience through the BBC platform.
